but wait! there's more!
There are a few other tools in GAFE, but we're not going to cover them all in great depth here. Lets take a look at each of them briefly. . . .
google sites
Google Sites is the Google version of websites. Teachers can use Sites in a variety of ways. They can create one site for all their classes. And, have different tabs for each class. Or, they can create a site for each class, if they want.
In this webmaster's humble opinion, Weebly is better. Obviously, look what I'm using to make THIS website! However, if you are interested in using Google Sites, check out the instructional video below.

google hangouts
Google Hangouts is Skype on steroids. Google Hangouts is a feature within Google+ (Google's version of Facebook.) However, you don't need to be using this social media feature to use Google Hangouts. Google Hangouts is not just a video chat feature. Google Hangouts lets you have multiple people in one video hangout at a time. Once you are in the hangout, you can see everyone in the hangout. The center screen goes to whomever is speaking.
However, you can also share your desktop or a document with everyone. So, people in the hangout can be handed control, and they can share either a document or their desktop for everyone to view. This way, you can talk about and collaborate around a document, presentation, etc. Everyone's image will remain around the border of the screen as well. And, if the document or presentation is in Google Drive, you can even have everyone collaborating and writing on the documents in real time. To the left is an introductory video, and below is a step-by-step tutorial video on how to use Google Hangouts.
Check out the video below to see how one teacher used Hangouts in their classroom.

Below is an instruction video on how to create a hangout. By the way, we can create hangouts across schools. We can connect classrooms not just here at Pondo but over to Oak Ridge, Union Mine, and El Dorado.
